The Department of Physical Therapy at Wheeling Jesuit University is accepting applications for a full-time faculty position in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Our curriculum utilizes an integrated Problem-Based Learning approach where students are responsible for their learning with facilitation by the faculty. Faculty team meetings occur weekly to coordinate the learning experiences within the curriculum. Students and faculty are involved in community and international Service-Learning projects throughout the two-year curriculum.
Faculty positions are twelve-month contract with both tenure and clinical tracks. Clinical practice and scholarly activity are encouraged and supported. A PhD or EdD in physical therapy or related field is required for the tenure-track. An advanced masters degree, DPT or willingness to obtain one, an ABSPTS certification and three years of clinical experience is required for the clinical track. Areas of teaching and clinical expertise include Adult Neurological Rehabilitation, Geriatrics and/or Cardiopulmonary.
